Paramita Mitra, an M.Phil qualified Child and Adolescent Psychologist of Happy n Healthys, with extensive experience in therapeutic counselling and psychotherapy.
She has over 9 years of professional experience in the field of mental health, working across hospitals, schools, government projects, and mental health platforms. Over the years, she has worked closely with children, adolescents, adults, parents, and educators, providing structured counselling, psychotherapy, and life-skills interventions.
Paramita completed her M.Phil in Child and Adolescent Psychology from Amity University. She also holds a Master’s degree in Psychology from Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University and a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Mysore. Her academic foundation is further strengthened by her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Calcutta.
She is currently associated as a Behaviour Counsellor and Special Educator at Orchids International School, where she conducts individual remedial sessions for children with special needs, mental health classes from Grade 1 to Grade 12, career guidance sessions, teacher sensitization programs, and group counselling sessions. She has also been actively involved in life-skills training for children, adolescents, parents, teachers, and staff in collaboration with various NGOs.
She has also worked as a Psychologist at DSR Multispecialty Hospital, Jaipur, and as a Health Counselor with the West Bengal State AIDS Prevention & Control Society, where she was involved in mental health and lifestyle counselling for HIV/AIDS patients.
